Karyn Teel, MD

A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Karyn Teel earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her ophthalmology residency as well as a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics in Salt Lake City.

Before joining Four Corners Eye Clinic in Durango, Colorado, Dr. Teel learned, trained, and practiced throughout the country and around the world. She has a special passion for global medicine and has helped provide eye care services to patients in Ghana and Nepal. Today, she serves the Four Corners community with her expertise, specifically in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases including diabetic eye care.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Teel is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Teel is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of work, she likes to bike, scuba dive, river raft, and explore the great outdoors with her dogs, Dre and Maya, and her husband, Adam.
