Animas Surgical Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Austin, MBA, as its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Austin joins Animas Surgical Hospital following his successful tenure as Chief Financial Officer at Bank of the San Juans. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Durango 9-R School District, where he demonstrated exceptional financial leadership and operational management skills.

Austin’s proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting – combined with his strong leadership skills – makes him an ideal addition to Animas Surgical Hospital’s executive team. His track record of implementing cost-effective measures, identifying operational efficiencies, and generating data-driven insights will be crucial as the hospital continues to expand its services and maintain its commitment to personalized patient care.
Austin holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He is an active member of the Association for Financial Professionals, the Association of Financial Professionals, and the Association of School Business Officials International. In his role as CAO, Austin will oversee all the administrative and financial operations of the hospital.
